Past On-Air Work
September 2024 - October 2024
Music.n.Mayhem
This was a short-lived, two episode project that I took on my first semester in college. I add this year, because though it was short, this experience taught me how to find guest, do subject research, conduct interviews and guide a conversation. This was my first venture into hosting and podcast work. I am currently working on my next project that I can bring these skills towards.
The Switch FM
January 2025 - May 2026
During my final semester in my graduate program, I had to the opportunity to create and produce my own radio show that aired on KUNV 91.5FM, everyday Friday at 11pm. It was an accomplishment I am extremely proud of. I called the show The Switch, as it is named after a Cure song and was a switch from the norm on the station. This experience gave me the skills to be confident on the air, how to build and connect with an audience, taught me how to write my own scripts and curate a playlist. The Switch remains my own personal project, as it is now a blog and the main focus on my social media accounts.
Varsity Sports Show
June 2026 - Present
As part of my internship at Varisty Sports Show, I am also a segment host on the radio. It airs live on KDUS 1060AM, every Saturday from 10 to 11 am. I have the responsibility to generate my own topics, research and write my own report got my two minute segment. I have learned a lot from this experience like, how to work with a team of reporters, find ways to generate unique topics our viewers are interested in and how to be comfortable while reporting live.
